Welcome! Planning a field trip to the Wabash County Historical Museum couldn't be easier. Simply e-mail our tour coordinator, or give us a call at (260)563-9070. We have many resources available for your museum experience, so be sure to check them out here.
HOURS
The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
ADMISSION
For student groups that book ahead, admission is $2 per child. For every ten children, one adult teacher/chaperone will be admitted at no charge. Additional teachers/chaperones are $3 per person. We recommend at least one adult chaperone per 10 students.
UNLOADING AND PARKING
Buses may unload in front of the Museum. Please have teachers and/or chaperones direct your students from the bus into the front double doors of the Museum. Parking is available for buses right outside the museum.
LUNCH OPTIONS
Students may eat a sack lunch in our multi-purpose room. There are also parks in the area with picnic pavilions. The Paradise Spring Park, for example, is within walking distance of the museum.
MUSEUM GIFT SHOP
If you would like to allow your students to visit our gift shop, there are a number of items in the gift shop for under $5.00 that they will enjoy.
MUSEUM ETIQUETTE
- Please do not run or rough-house in the museum.
- Walk carefully on the stairs, and take them one at a time.
- No food, candy, or beverage is allowed in the museum (excluding the multi-purpose room).
- Please speak in soft tones, so as not to disturb others.
- There are many interactive exhibits, but please take special note of "Do Not Touch" signs. These artifacts are fragile, and we want them to last for many years to come.
- Listen carefully to teachers, chaperones, and museum staff.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions. We're happy to help!
