Historical museum gets new staff member
Introducing Emily Perkins

The Museum is excited to announce a new staff member, Emily Perkins.  She joined us in August and will be wearing several hats for us!  In addition to staffing the front desk, Emily will be focusing on administrative duties and special projects.

Having spent over half of her life in Wabash County, Emily is enamored of the town and its history. After moving to the southern part of the county with her family in 1991, she attended Southwood High School, graduating in 1999. She had a slightly nomadic college career, attending Indiana University and Manchester College before receiving a Certificate of the Arts from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City in 2004.

After living in NYC for three years, she moved back home to Wabash to spend more time with her family. In addition to her parents, Ken and Beth, she has an older brother, Martin (who is married to Tatiana and has an adorable son, Nicholas), and an older sister, Rachel (who is married to Dr. Eric Dale).

Emily returned to her Alma Mater (SHS) as a teacher’s aide and drama director and taught a summer drama course before deciding to pursue a different line of work. She is tickled pink that this decision led her to the Wabash County Historical Museum. If you see her around town, stop her and tell her your own Wabash story! She’s starting a collection.
