Emphasis on Education

The Parkview Wabash Education Center is the most sought-after exhibit in the Museum.  Introduced in 2015, the 1,500 square foot space highly interactive space allows our guests eight years or younger to explore local history in a fun and creative environment.

This space is every changing and being updated to meet the demands of our guests and introduce new activities.  In addition, this exhibit has sparked a new strategy throughout the Museum to increase the interaction within other existing exhibits and ensure the entire Museum is designed with all ages in mind.

The Parkview Wabash Education Center currently features:

  • A round barn with agricultural themed activities

  • Farmhouse with interactive kitchen and planting garden out back

  • Nature-based play structure with a slide, monkey bars, and more

  • Two custom-designed train tables

  • Big Blue Blocks

  • And a canal boat featuring a cozy reading nook.

As this space evolves and our educational programming expands throughout the facility, it is thanks to donors like you that we are able to make updates to the Education Center and offer programming for our younger guests.

Education Center Donors also have the ability to have their family name, child's name, business logo, or any other message placed on a sponsor square that welcomes the daily guests to this exhibit.
