COVID-19 Update (3.12.2020)

Following guidance provided by Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and state health officials, the Museum is making immediate changes to our programming to keep the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, staff members, and school ages guests.

Effective immediately, the Museum will be postponing all on-site programming and special tour groups through the end of April. This will include April’s Family Fun Night, History Hunters, group visits, and other scheduled programs. Events will be evaluated on a case by case basis to reschedule to a future date.

The Museum will remain open for general admission during normal operating hours for the time being. This is a quickly evolving situation and the Museum’s leadership team is staying in close contact with health leaders and state officials and will readdress policy changes should the situation require such changes.

Our team continues to take additional precautions by increasing the use of disinfectants on surfaces throughout the building, increasing the number of hand sanitizing stations, encouraging hand washing by guest and staff, and limiting admission to the Museum of any staff member, volunteer or guest who is sick.
