About The Event

Join us for coffee and a treat, provided by our sponsor Bob Evans Restaurant. Guest speaker Tom Snyder will share “The History of Old Somerset.” Tom grew up in Somerset, Indiana, and witnessed firsthand its relocation to make way for the Mississinewa Reservoir and its rebirth as new Somerset. Tom's father, Fred Snyder, was instrumental in the moving of the town. Tom served in the army in Vietnam from 1968-1970, and then worked for the Army Corps of Engineers until 2006. In many ways, Tom's life came full circle from growing up in Somerset to helping to manage the reservoirs that cover his childhood home. “The Thursday Parlay” will take place from 10 to 11:30 am on Thursday, September 5th. This is a free event brought to you by the Wabash County Museum.
