About The Event

Join us for coffee and a treat, provided by our sponsor Bob Evans Restaurant and Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service. This month, we are delighted to welcome Reta Williams as she shares her work on the School Song Project, a quest to find and preserve the fight songs of Indiana high schools that were closed due to consolidation. Of 718 schools, she has found more than 550 fight songs. The project started with a website and has now turned into a book called, “Echoes From the Gym (Barnes and Noble Press). Of note, Reta is still searching for two Wabash County schools: The Chippewa Indians and the Lincolnville Gold Bugs. Any alumni or children of alumni who may have more information on these two schools’ fight songs should join us to share them. “The Thursday Parlay” will take place from 10 to 11:30 am on Thursday, April 2nd. This is a free event brought to you…
