About The Event

Join us for coffee and a treat, provided by our sponsor Bob Evans Restaurant and Imagine One 85. This month, we are delighted to welcome Sid Shroyer, author and local historian, as he shares his upcoming book, When Once Destroyed. Set for release on November 4, 2025, through Wise Ink Media, the book is a creative nonfiction memoir that explores the rise and fall of a small, self-contained rural community in northern Indiana, ultimately lost to post-war modernization and a flood control project. Sid draws on his personal connection to the community, gathering stories from friends and relatives, including his father, Vern Shroyer, to paint a vivid picture of life in this vanished town.  “The Thursday Parlay” will take place from 10 to 11:30 am on Thursday, December 4th. This is a free event brought to you by the Wabash County Museum.
